Daniel W. Munley has been invited to be a speaker on July 23rd, 2005 in Toronto at the Interstate Trucking Litigation Group's program on "Why A Truck Collision Case Must Be Handled Differently Than An Auto Collision Case".

The law firm of Munley, Munley & Cartwright, a plaintiffs firm concentrating in medical malpractice, vehicle accidents, workers compensation, product liability and nursing home negligence, along with a variety of other practice areas, has announced the appointment of Marita E. Paparelli as its Firm Administrator in May. Mrs. Paparelli comes from a long background of familiarity with local law firms having served as a Law Librarian for over 28 years. She holds an undergraduate degree from Immaculata University and a graduate degree from Villanova University. Mrs. Paparelli is involved in the administration of the firm's new offices located at The Form Plaza, 227 Penn Avenue in Scranton along with satellite offices in Wilkes Barre, Stroudsburg and Hamlin, along with their presences in Sunbury, Bloomsburg and Shamokin.
Marita has also announced a new service at Munley, Munley & Cartwright entitled "Operation Touch" as an avenue of communication for present, past and future clients and any of their legal concerns. Marita Paparelli is wed to Attorney Joseph D. Paparelli, resides in Peckville and is the mother of two adult children.

They have been added to the prestigious membership of attorneys and are officially recognized as lawyers who have demonstrated the special knowledge, skills and proficiency to be properly identified as "Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate."
The National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) is a non-profit organization located in Boston, Massachusetts. Shari D. Trussler is participating in a National Business Institute seminar on April 19th in Scranton, Pennsylvania entitled "Find It Free and Fast on the Net: Advanced Internet Strategies For The Pennsylvania Legal Professional." She performs as the in-house counsel with Munley, Munley & Cartwright where she is responsible for for the research department, drafting legal documents and technology support for all trials, including the preparation and presentation at trials. Attorney Trussler is is an adjunct professor at Marywood University where she teaches Legal Applications and Legal Research in the Paralegal Program.
She received her B.S. degree from Bryan College with a triple major in history, philosophy and political science, and her J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University. Ms. Trussler is a member of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and serves on the Law Advisory Board for the Paralegal Program at Marywood University.

In San Francisco, CA at the Association of Trial Lawyers Summer meeting Attorney Daniel W. Munley was elected Vice-President of the Small Business Litigation Section.

Attorneys Marion Munley, Matthew Cartwright, Julia K. Munley and Daniel Munley were all acknowledged by Trials Lawyers Care, Inc. at the American Trials Lawyers Association convention in Boston. Leo V. Boyle, President of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America along with Larry S. Stewart, President, Trial Lawyers Care, Inc. recognized these members of the firm as Lawyer Volunteer's willing to provide free, quality legal representation to eligible victims and their families who sought compensation under the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund. The generous donation of their time and legal expertise was appreciated along with their dedication to helping the victims and families touched by the events of September 11th.
Attorney Daniel Webster Munley was among a number of specially invited dignitaries to attend the French government's unveiling of a commemorative plaque honoring French victims of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. The ceremony, held at the French Consulate in New York City, was presided over by French Consulate General Richard Duqu' Mrs. Dening Lohez, widow of Jerome Robert Lohez, requested Attorney's Munley's presence at the French ceremony.
Mr. Lohez was a senior applications architect at NexxtHealth, a subsidiary of Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield, located on the 26th Floor of the World Trade Center. He was also a veteran of the French Army's 53 Artillery regiment and had just returned from visiting his family in France when he was killed in the 9/11 attacks. Mr.. Lohez was set to release a software product for his company, which was thought to be a breakthrough in the industry, on September 11, 2001.
A volunteer in the American Trial Lawyers Association's (ATLA) Trial Lawyers Care Program established by ATLA for attorneys to provide free representation to victims of 9/11 tragedy. Attorney Munley stated "following the tragic event, many Americans were looking for ways to help. I felt this program was a way for me to take my abilities and apply them."
Through Attorney Munley's efforts in presenting the claims to the Victims Compensation Fund and with the assistance of life-long friend Brian Kelly, CPA, Mrs. Lohez, was awarded $3.9 million.
To express her gratitude, Mrs. Lohez invited Attorney Munley and Mr. Kelly, and their wives, Valerie Munley and Melissa Kelly, to attend the French Consulate Event. The plaque, will forever hang in the lobby of the French Consulate.
