Tractor-Trailer Flips Over; Traffic Snarled for Over Two Hours
By: Amie McLain & Chad Merrill
"FREDERICK, MD- Traffic was backed up for more than two hours on Sunday morning after a tractor-trailer flipped over spilling diesel fluid all over the road.
Maryland State Police said it happened around 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning near the intersection of Route 340 and Catholic Church Road. 46-year-old Keith Ridgeley of Maryland somehow lost control of his tractor-trailer.
The vehicle ran off the side of the road and tore through 200 feet of guardrail and knocked down a highway sign before it finally rolled over on its side.
Diesel fluid then began leaking from the tanker. Ridgeley was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Both west and eastbound lanes were closed for about 2 hours."
