Tannersville, Pennsylvania is within the Pocono Township in the East Stroudsburg metro area of beautiful Monroe County.  Pocono Township shares its borders with Tobyhanna and Tunkhannock townships in the north, Coolbaugh and Paradise townships in the east, and Jackson Township to the west.  Pocono Township, PA derived its name from the scenic Pocono Mountains that surround the area.
