Major Interstates, Intrastates, and Highway Corridors

Seven Interstates and the Ohio Turnpike make travel easy through the state of Ohio.

Ohio Turnpike: The turnpike is incorporated into the Interstate Highway system, with I-80 and I-90 south of Cleveland as well as parts of I-76. It feeds from the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Petersburg, OH and to the Indiana Toll road near Columbia.

Interstate 70: I-70 starts at Cove Fort, UT and ends in Baltimore, MD. Ohio contains 255 miles of the highway, which passes through Columbus, Dayton, Springfield and Cambridge. Spur routes 270 and 670 extend around Columbus.

Interstate 71: I-71 begins in Louisville, KY and ends in Cleveland, OH. 247 miles run through Ohio, with interchanges at the major cities of Cincinnati, Columbus, Seville, Strongville and Mansfield. Spur route 471 extends around Cincinnati.

Interstate 75: I-75 stretches from Hialeah, FL to Sault Ste. Marie, MI at the Canadian border. 211 miles run through Ohio, where it passes through Cincinnati, Dayton and Toledo.

Interstate 76: I-76 begins near Akron, OH and ends near Camden, NJ. Ohio contains 83 miles of the highway, which passes skirts the eastern and southern boundaries of Youngstown. It also passes through Akron.

Interstate 77: I-77 starts in Columbia, SC and ends in Cleveland, OH. 162 miles extend through Ohio, including the cities of Canton, Richfield, Brecksville Independence and Akron. Spur route 277 is a connector route to I-76 outside of Akron.

Interstate 80: I-80 begins in San Francisco, CA and ends in Teaneck, NJ, near New York City. Ohio contains 237 miles of the highway, with interchanges at Toledo, Cleveland and Youngstown.

Interstate 90: I-90 is the longest Interstate Highway in the U.S. It begins in Seattle, WA and ends in Boston, MA. Over 244 miles extend through Ohio, where it's known primarily as the Ohio Turnpike. It goes through the cities of Toledo, Elyria, Cleveland, Ashtabula and Conneaut. Cleveland OH contains the spur route 490.
