Attorney Matthew A. Cartwright, PA Supreme Court Judge Address Convention

SCRANTON, PA - July 7, 2007-Attorney Matthew A. Cartwright, partner in Munley, Munley and Cartwright, and the Hon. Michael Eakin, Pennsylvania Supreme Court Judge, addressed the annual Pennsylvania Association for Justice Convention in Hershey, PA.

The presentation entitled, "Ethics Issues for Trial Lawyers" investigated diverse ethical topics in context of today's legal system.

Atty. Cartwright was joined at the convention by fellow Munley, Munley and Cartwright attorneys Marion K. Munley and J. Christopher Munley, members of the PAmerican Association of Justice Board Of Governors.

Justice Eakin is a 1970 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, and received his law degree from the Dickinson School of Law in 1975. He was elected to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 2001 and to the Pennsylvania Superior Court in 1995. He served three terms as District Attorney of Cumberland County from 1984-1995.

Mr. Cartwright earned his A.B. degree magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in history from Hamilton College in 1983, and was awarded a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986, where he was an editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He is board certified in civil trial practice, holds the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell law directory, and has been named a SuperLawyer for each year that award has been given. He is a frequent lecturer on legal topics and has been published in The Barrister, the Pennsylvania Bar Quarterly, and TRIAL Magazine, the journal of the American Association for Justice (American Association of Justice). He is currently the Chairman of the Business Torts Section of the American Association of Justice, as well as Vice Chair of the American Association of Justice Sections Leadership Council. Mr. Cartwright is a member of the Rotary Club of the Abingtons, and a Past District Governor of Rotary International. Read more about Mr. Cartwright here.
