Settlement for a woman who was rear-ended in Luzerne County
In October, 2004, Ms. Munley represented a woman who was rear-ended. The Defendant Ingo Anghel was also insured by Allstate Insurance Company. Our client had selected the limited tort option on her own auto insurance policy which requires an individual to have a serious impairment of a bodily function in order to be compensated for pain and suffering, otherwise she is limited to economic damages. Our client had minimal soft tissue injuries and had experienced gagging frequently since the time of the accident but no economic damages for trial. The initial offer through Allstate was $4,500.00. As Ms. Munley began the jury trial of this case in Luzerne County, Allstate offered $40,000.00 to settle this matter which was accepted by our client.fsfsfsd
