Julia Munley Named Secretary of Women Lawyers’ Group

Scranton, PA - January 24, 2008 - At a recent meeting, the Association of Women Lawyers of Lackawanna County named Attorney Julia K. Munley, of Munley, Munley & Cartwright to the position of Secretary. Formerly, Ms. Munley served the organization as Treasurer and as President.

The Association of Women Lawyers of Lackawanna County is an organization of female attorneys of various legal backgrounds who regularly practice before the Courts of Lackawanna County.

"I think that the organization presents a great opportunity for women attorneys to meet and share insights and experiences in their individual fields of expertise. Women are still a narrow minority in this profession, but by working together, we can help to further our own careers, while advancing women in the field, as a whole, Ms. Munley commented.

Attorney Munley is a practicing trial attorney, and is a member of several Bar Associations, including the United States Supreme Court. She is highly active in legal groups like the Association of Women Lawyers of Lackawanna County, as well as, community-based organizations.
