The money will go to Mary Dalykas, Deacon Hill Road, RD 4, Lake Ariel and her three children because of the death of Donald Dalykas, 84, on April 13, 1993.

A Lackawanna County jury returned a verdict of $400,000.00 regarding a motor vehicle collision on Wednesday after a three day trial before the Honorable Trish Corbett. The case arose when a triaxle dump truck struck the plaintiff Robert Parry from behind while Mr. Parry was stopped on Keyser Avenue, Scranton. On August 9, 1999 Defendant driver Russell Whitman admitted the crash occurred after he took his eyes off the road and drove into the back of Mr. Parry's vehicle at between 10 and 15 mph.

WILKES-BARRE - A Luzerne County jury took about two hours Thursday to award a Shavertown man $400,000 for injuries he suffered in a car crash in Kingston Township more than four years ago.

A Luzerne County jury on Thursday awarded a couple $158,000 for damages their property sustained from a gasoline spill in Lehman Township. Martin and Louise Montigney were awarded the damages from George Maculloch, the owner of the station that caused the gasoline spill.

The nurse was unaware that her patient, who passed away shortly after the incident, had AIDS.
