Business Torts Litigation Settlement Announced
Attorney Matthew A. Cartwright, of Munley, Munley & Cartwright, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, has announced a global resolution in a complex, protracted business litigation case involving claims of breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, misrepresentation and breach of contract. According to Mr. Cartwright, the settlement's terms require that the identities of the parties remain confidential. Cartwright headed a team of six lawyers from five separate law firms in prosecuting the action, which settled after several years of extensive litigation, and negotiation.
Cartwright currently serves as the Section Chairman of the Business Torts Section of the American Association for Justice, Washington, D.C. Munley, Munley & Cartwright frequently handles business disputes, including lender liability claims, breach of contract cases, accounting and auditing malpractice, breach of fiduciary duties, and securities litigation.
