National Board of Trial Advocacy

Six Munley, Munley & Cartwright trial attorneys – Robert W. Munley, Marion Munley, Matthew A. Cartwright, J. Christopher Munley, Daniel W. Munley and Julia K. Munley – have been Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

The NBTA is a non-profit organization founded in 1977 in the public interest to help people identify lawyers who demonstrate skill, ability and high ethical standards. It is accredited by the American Bar Association, and its mission and purpose have been affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court.

In order to be certified as a civil trial specialist by this elite group of attorneys, an attorney must pass a rigorous screening of credentials, including an exam, documentation of experience and references from peers and members of the judiciary.

The board-certified attorney must then submit an application for certification every five years.
