For more than 100 years, Moses Taylor Hospital has offered health care to residents of Lackawanna County and Northeast Pennsylvania. Founded in 1892 with a $250,000 donation by merchant, banker and industrialist Moses Taylor – one of the wealthiest men in the country at that time – the hospital was originally designed to care for the railroad workers and coal miners in the region.
