Interstate 97: Interstate 97 (abbreviated I-97), in the state of Maryland, is unique in that the roadway is located in its entirety within Anne Arundel County.

Completed in 1993, Interstate 97 begins just south of Baltimore proper at an interchange with I-695/I-895. From there I-97 runs south 17.5 miles to the city of Annapolis where it ties into the multiplex of unsigned I-595, US Highway 30 and US Highway 50.

Aside from its beginning and end, the only other city of note served by I-97 is Glen-Burnie where it connects to Maryland Business Route 3.

Interstate 97 does not connect to any other interstate and has no spur roads of its own.
