Attorney Marion Munley Top 25 Women Business Professionals for 2011

Marion Munley of Munley, Munley & Cartwright, P.C., a Pennsylvania personal injury law practice, has recently been chosen a Top 25 Women Business Professional for 2011 by the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal.

The award recognizes and spotlights the professional accomplishments of 25 women in Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) in decision-making roles as well as community involvement. The award was introduced in 2002 as a means to recognize the achievements of women in NEPA.

Munley says she was mentored by her father, Robert Munley, who began the law firm more than 50 years ago. She also takes pride in being a law partner with her husband of 25 years, Matthew Cartwright, and in working with her brothers, Robert, III; Dan; Chris; sister, Caroline; and cousin, Julia Munley.

Munley believes in working hard and learning something new every day in order to stay on top of the latest case law and the latest technology.

“Be the first to arrive and the last to leave the workplace. Just as my parents taught me, I believe in leading by example,” she said.

Munley is admitted to the Bar in Pennsylvania, New York, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

The award will be presented at a June 17 luncheon at the Hilton in Scranton.
