STATUTE: (Stationary) Amusement Rides Title 34 Chapter 12 Effective January 1, 1986. (Mobile) Carnival Rides Title 34 Chapter 13 Effective January 1, 1987. Tramways and Skilifts are covered under Amusement Rides. Chapter 300-8-3 Rules of Georgia Department of Labor Safety Regulations for Bungee Jumping.

PERMITS AND LICENSES: Permits are required annually for all amusement devices prior to issuance of a permit the manager/operator must file proof of insurance in the amount of at least $500,000.00 bodily injury liability coverage, and application for a permit, a list of rides and serial numbers and the fee as required by regulation. Carnivals require $1 million insurance.

INSPECTION: Rides are inspected at first 'set up' each year, and spot checked several times thereafter.
